1. Sven & Son Platinum Series Adjustable Bed
Product Description:
I purchased the wall-hugging Twin XL premium bed frame and the 14″ thick mattress. This bed frame came in a large, narrow, well package box. The box is heavy but reflects how this bed frame was made. It’s solid and well-made. This would be best handled with two people with a little muscle. I, however, tackled this alone and was able to assemble and place the frame in Its final location.
After installing the legs, ensure that pressure on the legs is minimal when tipping it right-side up I used blocks of 4x4s to take most of the weight of the frame to relieve the side pressure on the legs when tipping it over.
The mattress came in a cylindrical heavy-duty bag about 4 ft x 1.5 ft in size. After removing the outer bag, the mattress is tightly packed in an airtight plastic wrap/bag. You must take care when cutting this wrap/bag off to avoid cutting into the mattress. While cutting the wrap/bag’s last part, the mattress springs out. Ensure you have adequate room to let the mattress expand. I let my mattress expand for 24 hours before using it.
The mattress I got wasn’t too firm or too soft. It is just right… very comfortable. All bed functions worked great with the provided remote, but the phone app had some issues connecting to the bed. It worked (connected) one day, then not the next. I hope they’ll be able to fix it in upcoming updates. However, this review is about the bed and not the app. I’ll rate the app on the Play Store.
I ready love this bed and here are some short reasons why.
I’m 250 lbs and this bed can accommodate every position with ease. It’s very quiet too.
I FINALLY slept through the night. No more sleeping aids.
My arthritic hip and chronic back pain (L5-S1) feel MUCH better after a night’s sleep on this bed. I almost cried from happiness when I woke up without the horrible pains.
Love the wall-hugging feature—no more dropped pillows behind the bed.
I thank Sven & Son and SleepGeekz for this fine product. They can have everything I own, except for this bed. They’ll have to pry it from my dead cold fingers to take it from me. Not kidding. This bed is worth every penny!

The negative was that my bed was mixed up with someone else’s and we both had to deny delivery and then wait longer for it to get to the correct state. The shipping company and the sellers were not always on the same. Page but when I reached out about it daily to both it was delivered the next week. The box and the plastic were both ripped for the base when it arrived. Not too happy about it but was happy to finally have the bed. It is very very heavy and easier to slidthanen lift.
All you have to do for the base is put on the legs and plugin. The mattress is very nice and comfortable. The message is pretty louder however adjusting head and feet is surprisingly quiet. You have heard it but not loud. King size I can’t feel my partner moving or getting out of bed. So happy we got this bed. We got 18-inch deep sheets and the mattress is 14 inches the sheets barely fit on all the way but surprisingly don’t fall off. Recomed getting super deep sheets.
Pros – Easy to put together did most of it by myself and I am 64 years old. My brother helped a little. Moving it into the bedroom requires two people. Very nice remote has a built-in flashlight, and works pretty well. Love all the features of LED lights, and the massage feature is comfortable and fair. The bed works well and feels beautiful, I did buy this to finish out my guest bedroom. Very happy with the purchase and the price point.
Cons – The mattress once opened took two weeks for the smell to dissipate, I read all the online tips ran a fan in the room for two weeks, and even turned my ozone generator on for 30 minutes. But after a couple of weeks, the odor from the gasses is gone and I couldn’t be happier.
Overall I love the purchase – just be patient with the mattress odor as it does go away.
4. Sven & Son Essential Series Adjustable Bed
Product Description:
We looked at many adjustable beds before deciding on this one, but I’m so glad we chose this. It is a wonderful bed! The adjustable base is great for my severe, chronic back pain (that zero-G setting feels like heaven on my bad days), and it helps my husband with his hiatal hernia and acid reflux (we’re a mess lol), not to mention snoring! Plus, it’s great to be able to sit up to read in bed.
We went with the 14″ hybrid mattress, which is great. It has the softness and cushion of the foam mattresses, but the underlying support of the innerspring (I like a softer mattress because my hip bones get sore if it’s too firm, but my husband likes a firmer one… this is a nice compromise, and neither of us has any complaints).
We received the bed within a week of ordering. Assembly is easy…the directions are very clear. The mattresses are heavy, so it took both of us to heft them on, and about 24 hrs for them to recover their full height. There was little off-gassing; other than the smell of the plastic they were wrapped in, they didn’t smell much at all.
We bought the bed in April, so we’ve used it for 4 months now. We haven’t had any issues with the mechanics (the remotes and bases are still working perfectly). I’ll update you if something breaks, but so far everything is going well. The mattresses are uber comfy! I’m glad I chose these instead of trying to find others… these are perfect for us.
I have owned high-end beds (I had a Sleep Number a few years ago, but the controls kept going out), and cheaper Costco memory foam mattresses. No mattress has such a nice balance of softness and support. They are not hot (I sleep hot, and I hated my first memory foam mattress because of that). They are very thick. I have to make sure I buy deep pocket sheets (it uses twin XL). Our one complaint is that the bed, combined with the mattresses, is very high off the floor for our smaller dog (the legs are 12″, and the mattress 14″).
I contacted the company, but the only other option is 4″ legs (you can order those from them), and that would make it lower than is comfortable for me to make the bed with my bad back. Something in the 6-8″ range would be ideal. On that note, I suggest abedskirtt with this because it looks a little cheap without one (the legs are solid, but just welded metal). The good thing about it being so high is there’s plenty of underground storage!
5. Sven & Son Classic Plus Series Adjustable Bed
Product Description:
We have been sleeping on this for about 7 weeks now. We have enjoyed this bed. We have had some adjustments to the split King setup and I am not sold on the crease in the center. That is not a problem with the manufacturing or the bed itself but with the style in general. We have put it through its paces and really like all of the settings. The remotes come already paired with their side of the bed but there is a sync button inline with the power cable ift it is needed it.
The three different vibration levels are sufficient for just a light amount up to good rumble and are nice after a long day sometimes. The under-the-bed lighting is very nice and puts out plenty of light to see where you are going without disturbing the other person. My local delivery company wasn’t very flexible with delivery and my wife had a last-minute trip out of town so I had asked about delivery the following week but they would only allow 72 hours on their dock before automatically returning the bed. I opted to take a day off of work to receive the shipment.
The driver was supposed to drop at the curb but since the driveway is paved and flat he just rolled it straight into the garage for us. The assembly consists of adding the legs to the bottom of the bed, adding the mattress retention stop at the foot, and plugging it in. Be prepared by having 9v batteries on hand (2 for each side), I wasn’t sure what they were for since the bed is plugged in but guessing it may be power to lower the bed if there was a power outage so it isn’t stuck in some position other than level. The bed came on a pallet with the two mattresses on top all strapped together.
The unboxing was extremely easy by opening the clamshell simply removing the bed and folding it out. There were two boxes inside that had the parts and the remote controls, with the owner’s manual. This fit directly into our existing bed frame with the cross supports removed. I will say that we have a pretty high footboard that is flush with the mattresses so making the top sheet up with the retention elements and an footboard in the way is a bit difficult. Getting the fitted sheets over the center top corner of each mattress is also a bit difficult but not a problem unless you have mobility issues.
On night 2 the cross member that lifts the upper half of the bed separated due to a bad weld. Two pops and it was done. I believe that the first weld failed passing all of the load to the other side causing that side to fail. I got out of bed and wrote to them immediately late that evening. I was contacted first thing in the morning. They were very apologetic but I understood that sometimes there are bad welds since I have worked in manufacturing before for many years.
They had me send pictures and the serial number and processed a replacement shipment for that half immediately. They also had the white glove delivery and installation at no cost to me. They came in and packed up the broken unit put the new one in tested it and made sure I was satisfied before leaving. I couldn’t have asked for a better response from the seller or the white glove service people.
